I love music and especially discovering new artists or songs. Because of this I thought I would share some of my favourite artists or songs of the moment. I will put a new artist or song on here every week with a little bit about how I found it and why I like it so you can give them a listen and see what you think. Hopefully, you will find some new music you like. By the way I'm sorry if the explanation becomes very long, I sometimes get overly passionate.
Recently I was lucky enough to go to a Lawson concert (they're not who this is about but check them out anyway). One of the support acts on their tour was a guy called Mike Dignam. I decided to do a bit of research on him before I went to the concert and when I listened to him I fell in love with his music. When he performed at the concert he was amazing and you could tell he was passionate about what he did. I was also lucky enough to meet him briefly and got a signed copy of one of his CDs. He writes all of his own songs and the meanings behind some are great. This is my favourite song of his "Great Escape".
The other support act on the Lawson tour were Room 94. I looked them up a little bit before I went but not much and if I'm honest I didn't really think they were my type of music. But then when they performed they did some songs I hadn't heard and the energy they had made it hard not to love them. Throughout the whole performance they were smiling and laughing and it was easy to see how much fun they were having. We got to meet the guitarist Sean and he was really nice as well. Also three of them are related which I think is quite cute. Overall they seemed just like a group of normal fun guys who have fun with their music. This is their latest single which you can buy on ITunes now, it's not the official video because I prefer this one and think it shows what sort of guys they are. (Quick warning: they do swear a bit, sorry)
The next artist I love is The Vamps. They do YouTube videos of them covering songs so I haven't actually heard any of there original stuff. Saying this though I know that they have recently been to America to work on there album which will have original tracks on so I am really looking forward to that. Back to their covers, I love them; they don't just sing a song exactly as it's written they put there own spin on it. Also, there voices are just dreamy I could listen to them all day long. Lastly, they are always smiling, laughing and having fun which makes me smile when I watch their videos. This is their most recent cover and probably one of my favourites, Just Give Me A Reason by Pink.
